Priorities

Four promises to your family. All of them kept.

01

An independent voice.

A hospital board must oversee management — not be built by it. Brad has no salary from SMH, no pension from SMH, and takes no PAC money. Independence isn't a slogan; it's the job.

02

Not for sale. Ever.

Sarasota Memorial has served this community for over 100 years as a public hospital. Brad will oppose any sale, lease, or private-equity takeover — full stop. The 2013 board review already proved what we know: this hospital is worth more to taxpayers public than sold.

03

A watchdog on the books.

As Treasurer: a 113% funded employee pension, 305 days of cash on hand, and operating results that beat budget — per the District's audited financial statements. Strong books are a public hospital's best defense.

04

World-class care, closer to home.

Straight-A safety grades at both campuses. One of America's best maternity hospitals — and the only one delivering babies in Sarasota County. The Venice hospital is open and growing; North Port is on the way. Brad voted to build them and will see them through. When your doctors, your kids, and your neighbors all count on the same hospital, excellence isn't a talking point. It's personal.

“You elected a businessman to watch the books of your hospital. The books are strong, the care is straight-A, and the hospital is still yours. Let’s keep it that way.”
